This is a triptych of Rotorua from a 'birds eye' view. The three panels can also be hung alongside each other to give a full panoramic view of Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island and the surrounding landscape.I chose the turret of my favourite homestead in Rotorua and contrasted it with the top of a Marae (Maori Meeting House) to give a symbolical and very 'typical' view of our beautiful city. The three paintings could also be hung individually in different places in the home. Although this painting has sold the concept is one I would like to try again.
